I feel like an idiot asking this question but I've played through Shards of Orr twice now and both times I've gotten the gold chest but my Master Dungeon Guide is still not showing that I've completed #12 Shards of Orr.

At first I thought it was a bug but now I'm wondering, am I doing something wrong? Are there two separate quests or parts in level 3 and I'm only completing one of them?

I've performed searches in the forums but could find no information that helps and I've watched two in-game movies on youtube.com but the picture is so bad I just can't see anything different from what I'm doing? I wrote to the support department but they respond with a "we won't be contacting you personally" form e-mail. So I'm left in the dark with an imcomplete Dungeon Guide.

From what I've heard.. If your alone with henchies and heroes you need the dungeon quest to make it appear in the master dungeon book.
I am not sure about this tho

Well seeing as you didn't state it ima ask the obvious... did you take the book in with you or pay 100g to have the page filled in???

I never pay for anyone to spend time playing my game. What a waste -- why would you buy a game and then pay someone else to play it for you?!?

Yes, I did take the guide books (normal) with me and I talked to Shandra before I entered the dungeon to obtain the quest Lost Souls (I think that's what its called). But following the receipt of the gold chest at the end, I still have the Lost Souls quest still in my quest list and #12 in the Dungeon Guide is blank.

I don't recall if I did speak with Shandra outside the dungeon AFTER I received the reward. I will check on that tonight and if this is where I goofed, well, my face will definately turn red.

The only thing I could think of was that there was more than one quest associated with this dungeon and since I don't recall reading the name of the final Boss character, I wondered if I wasn't fighting the right Boss. The darn thing took so long to complete that I didn't want to spend all that time going back to just check on the name of the Boss.

OH, the final boss character never switches to some sort of soul Boss that I need to fight before he turns back alive. Reading about this was my first clue that something might be wrong with the game. On Wiki it mentioned that this was a known bug about this dungeon. But there was nothing that explained what one needed to do should this be "your" problem. Plus, the game has been out long enough that it either shouldn't still be a problem or there should be some information about the issue on the main website.

I'll get back about whether or not I missed talking to anyone outside the dungeon.

Just finished checking Shandra and nope, she is not indicating that I've completed the quest. I'm absolutely certain she was on the quest with me previously so I know she gave me the quest. I also know I did the whole lighting of torches in two different places in order to continue on.

I just don't know what's wrong. HELP!

You have to get the reward from Shandra INSIDE the dungeon after defeating Fendi Nin. DO NOT exit without collecting your reward. There is an exclamation point over her head.

Get your reward before the timer expires. Did it last night. Didn't get the Dungeon Masters Guide update until after accepting the reward. If Shandra is not with you from the start then you have something else going on.

Lighting the flame braziers only allows you to progress, by spawning the Brigands that drop keys, etc.

If this was in reply to me, you obviously have no idea what i meant. The NPC that gives you the book, offers to pay 100g to fill in any pages for primary quests / dungeons you completed without having the book with you.

I meant nothing about paying other people to do these for you, sheesh.

I don't recall if I got the reward from Shandra before leaving the other two times. I know she was with me in the beginning of the dungeon area but I was so busy whacking away that I don't recall her presence later on. I'll try it again.

Whew, what a pain when the dungeon is as hard as this one. Thanks for the assistance.

he doesn't know you can pay 100g for a missing page xD
